Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a pile fabric, consisting of pile fiber of flat cross-sectional shape having grooved dents in the fiber longitudinal direction on the surface thereof for interior finish and excellent in hand without glittering luster, blackening or while fading and suitable as upholstery, etc. CONSTITUTION:A pile fabric for interior finish, obtained by compressing and heat-treating fiber (preferably polyester-based fiber) having a flat cross-sectional shape (preferably 1.5-6 flatness) to provide pile fiber of a flat cross-sectional shape having 12-220 grooved dents/mm (preferably about 0.5-5.5mu depth and a width of about the major axis in the fiber cross section) in the fiber longitudinal direction on the surface thereof and containing >=30% above-mentioned fiber therein and suitable as furniture, etc.
