Abstract:
The invention concerns random propylene copolymers containing 0.1 to 20 % by wt. of other, C2-C10, alk-1-enes and with a melting point below 155 DEG C, an xylene-soluble content of less than 15 % by wt. and a melt flow rate of 0.1 to 100 g/10 min, measured at 230 DEG C and a load of 2.16 kg. The random copolymers proposed are preferably produced in the presence of metallocene-containing catalyst systems and are suitable for use, above all, in the manufacture of sheet, fibre and mouldings.
