PURPOSE: To provide a detecting switch capable of significantly reducing the manufacturing cost and easily changing the operating force and contact pressure by designing the detecting switch in such a manner that reliability is never lost even when a contact member and its contact part are formed with an inexpensive material easy to work.
CONSTITUTION: A pair of contact members 17, 18 having base end parts buried in an insulating base 13 and contact parts 17a, 18a on the top end side are formed, and spring wire rods 11, 12 to which carbon is applied are used in the contact parts 17a, 18a. The top end sides of both the contact members 17, 18 are crossed to each other in such a manner that the contact parts 17a, 18a can mutually make point-contact.
