PURPOSE: To provide an incomplete combustion detecting device, capable of detecting the condition of incomplete combustion in spite of the using condition of the combustion instrument or the kind of fuel therefor.
CONSTITUTION: An incomplete combustion detecting device 22 is provided with a CO sensor 20, an incomplete combustion deciding means 27, deciding incomplete combustion, and a combustion control means 26, controlling a combustion instrument A. An operating means 25 stores a first relative formula, showing a relation between the concentration output and the temperature output of the CO sensor 20 of a predetermined concentration of CO for every fuel kinds, determined by a fuel kind determining means 21, and every using conditions, detected by an using condition detecting means 21, and operates the concentration of CO corresponding to the actually measured temperature and the objective value of decision from the first relation formula. The incomplete combustion deciding means 27 compares the objective value of decision operated by the operating means 25 with the decided value and decides incomplete combustion.
