PURPOSE: To make the structure of a binding device simple and compact and manufacturable at low cost, and to make the device operable automatically while ensuring precise and tight binding for articles to be bound.

CONSTITUTION: A binding device is mainly composed of a push-in clipping member 51 equipped with a clipper 52, a support clipping member 61 equipped with a clipper 63 and a pressing member 85 equipped with a pressing part 84. A support member 41 equipped with a supporting part 43 is incorporated, in addition to the above-mentioned members, in another type of binding device. Thereby, automatization of binding work can be materialized, depending on each of the above-mentioned members. A binding part M12 of an article M11 to be bound is compressed through the surface of a binding tape T11 by the two clipping members 51 and 61, and precise and tight binding can be achieved without allowing loosening to happen. Since the structure is simple, requiring a small number of components, the device can be manufactured at low cost without allowing the device to become large-sized.
