Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a solid golf ball with increased feel and excellent total balance without deteriorating the good carry performance and the durability which are the distinctive features of a solid golf ball.

CONSTITUTION: Structured as a three-piece solid golf ball made up of a center core 1, an intermediate layer 2, and a cover 3 respectively formed to the following specifications; the center core 1 is to have a diameter of over 26mm and a sp.gr. of less than 1.4, the intermediate layer 2 is to have a thickness of over 1mm, a sp.gr. of less than 1.2, and a JIS-C hardness of less than 80, and the cover 3 is to have a thickness of between 1 to 3mm.
