Title:
MOLTEN IRON TAPPING HOLE BORING MACHINE FOR METALLURGICAL VESSEL, PARTICULARLY, BLAST FURNACE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0688110
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable the pushing of a molten iron tapping rod into a molten iron tapping hole in a blast furnace without using a boring hammer or if necessary, using this hammer for a short time in a molten iron tapping hole boring machine.

CONSTITUTION: One or more guiding parts 15 and 16 arranged on a carriage 1 along the shifting passage of a molten iron tapping rod 10, are arranged. At the time of the pushing process, the length of the molten iron tapping rod 10 which has possibility of bending, between a connecting device 9 at the position of the furnace 2 side of the boring hammer 5 and a fixed guiding part 14 at the end part 11 of the carriage 1 near the furnace, is always shortened. Firstly, the boring hammer 5 is brought into contact with a guiding part 15, and the guiding part 15 is shifted to the second guiding part 16. Successively, body guiding parts 15 and 16 are shifted to the end position near the furnace decided by the front end position of the boring hammer 5. By this constitution, the bending of the rod 10 is prevented.
