Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide the slag heater for a melting furnace which facilitates additional charging, etc., of waste to a melting furnace 3 for metal-contg. waste and does not restrict the structure and materials of the melting furnace. CONSTITUTION:This slag heater has an annular heating element 9 opened at the center in the upper part of the melting furnace 3. This annular heating element 9 is coated with refractories on its outer flanks and front surface. The entire part of a slag layer 4 is fluidized by heating of the annular heating element 9.
