Abstract:
PURPOSE:To select a subaddress form automatically between ISDN terminals whose subaddress form is dissident by revising a subaddress form of a setup message into a subaddress form by a different coding and sending the result again when an interrupt reply message by no reply is received. CONSTITUTION:When a caller TA receives a connection command together with an ISDN address of an opposite terminal equipment comprising an address and a subaddress from a terminal equipment (DTE), a SETUP message in 1984 version is sent to an ISDN. In this case, a TA of the opposite terminal equipment does not reply the message when its subaddress form is different When a prescribed time (4sec) elapses after that, the network sends a message representing DISC (interrupt) to a caller TA together with a code (#18) representing non-reply of the opposite party. The caller TA receiving the data decodes the message to start retrial and revises the subaddress form in the SETUP message into that in 1988 version and sends the revised message to the network.
