Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve gripping performance and wear resistance by specifying both the height of each block of block patterns consisting of a tread and the ratio of the surface area of a whole block to a tread surface area, and furthermore by specifying the composition of rubber consisting of the tread section. CONSTITUTION:A tire 1 for a motorcycle has a tread section 4 and side wall sections 5 extending radially from both sides of said section and the like. And the tread section 4 has a block pattern consisting of a plurality of block kinds Ai through Di. In this case, the height HAi through HDi of each block is set at a range of 7 to 20mm, and the surface area of a whole block is set at a range of 10 through 50% of a tread surface area. And rubber consisting of the tread section 4 is made of a composition where a SBR part by weight of 60 to 85 containing stylene by 30 to 40wt%, a SBR part by weight of 10 to 30 containing stylene by 20 to 25wt%, a butadiene part by weight of 3 to 10, and a carbon black part of 10 to 30m in particle diameter by weight of 60 to 120 are combined respectively.
