Abstract:
Substituted bicyclic 3-arylpyrrolidine 2,4-dione derivatives of the formula (I) are provided, in which formula   A and Q together represent an alkanediyl, alkenediyl, alkenedienyl and alkenetrienyl group, each of which has 3 to 6 carbon atoms and each of which is monosubstituted to polysubstituted by identical or different substituents, each of these groups being substituted by halogen, hydroxyl, mercapto, in each case optionally substituted alkyl, alkoxy, alkylthio, cycloalkyl or aryl, and each of these groups furthermore optionally being interrupted by one of the groups below >C=N-R<6>; >C=N-OR<6>; or in which   B represents hydrogen or alkyl,   X represents alkyl, halogen or alkoxy,   Y represents hydrogen, alkyl, halogen, alkoxy or haloalkyl,   Z represents alkyl, halogen or alkoxy,   n represents a number 0, 1, 2 or 3,   G represents hydrogen (a) or the groups -CO-R<1> (b), -SO2-R<3> (d), or E (f), where R<1>, R<2>, R<3>, R<4>, R<5>, R<6>, R<7> and R<8>, L, M and E are as defined in the text of the application. The novel compounds of the formula (I) have outstanding insecticidal, acaricidal and herbicidal properties.
