PURPOSE: To prevent the effect of extending a sound field from being changed depending on a position of a listener in the sound reproduction device provided with a circuit extending the sound field.

CONSTITUTION: A controller 109 is used to obtain a distance from a right channel speaker 106a to a listener 107 and a distance from a left channel speaker 106b to the listener 107 based on a right sensor 108a fitted on the right channel speaker 106a and a left sensor 108b fitted on the left channel speaker 106b. A transfer function of an optimum filter at that position is read from a ROM 110 and the controller 109 is used to control the transfer function by using a right crosstalk filter 102a, a left crosstalk filter 102b, a correction filter 104a and a correction filter 104b.
