Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve and stabilize the quality of a copying machine by automatically detecting and judging defective image quality.
CONSTITUTION: A half-tone chart 2 is copied with a copying machine 1. A carried-out paper 3 is sucked with a sucking part 7. Under the sucked state, the paper is carried with a carrier part 6. Light is cast on the copied paper 3 from a line light source 9 for uniform illumination during the process. The image of every one line is picked up with a line sensor camera 10. The image data are converted into the variable-density data. The presence of absence of stripe-state defective image quality is judged based on the variabledensity data with a peak detecting/image-quality judging part 12.
