Abstract:

PURPOSE: To accurately control damping force by reducing a load of driving an actuator.

CONSTITUTION: A valve hole 58 and the first/second bypass passages 54 for respectively connecting the valve hole to the first/second cylinder chambers are provided in a piston for partitioning the first/second cylinder chambers 20, 22 in cooperation with a cylinder 18, and a spool valve 56 for controlling a degree of communication of these bypass passages is reciprocatably fitted to the valve hole. The spool valve bears a collision plate 96 protruded in a direction of traversing an axial line in a side of the second bypass passage, so that the collision plate receives a flow of oil toward the second bypass passage from the first bypass passage via between the spool valve and a wall surface of the valve hole.
