PURPOSE: To improve fitting of the receptacle of a module for optical communication and an optical connector plug by disposing a gap between struts disposed in a module case for supporting the optical coupling block of an optical coupling part in the module case and an optical coupling block.
CONSTITUTION: The optical coupling part blocks 81, 82 having a light emitting element 6 and a light receiving element 7 are installed and supported to the prescribed positions within the module case 5 for optical communication by the struts 13 to 16. Latch knobs 111, 112 are respectively meshed with latch windows 11, 12 that is provided with the case 5. Ferrules 21, 22 fit respectively to sleeves 84, 83. The gap is disposed between the block 81 and the struts 13, 14 and the clearance is disposed between the block 82 and the struts 15, 16. The block 81, therefore, moves at the time of fitting the ferrule 22 and the sleeve 83 and the block 82 moves at the time of fitting the ferrule 21 and the sleeve 84. Both are eventually fitted in a good state.
