PURPOSE: To enable the batch-cutting of a sausage connected body without leaving long scraps after cutting by catching a connecting part by a hook part making use of the rotating action of a drum, and cutting the connecting part in the hanging state of the sausage connected body.

CONSTITUTION: When a sausage connected body S is charged into a drum 3, the sausage connected body S comes in contact with a second shearing blade 23 at the bottom part of the drum 3, and a part thereof is caught by the second shearing blade 23 so as to go along with it. In association with the upward rotation of the second shearing blade 23 into a drum side face position, the sausage connected body S slides down along the inner surface of the drum 3, and a connecting part 30 is caught by the hook part 31 of the second shearing blade 23. The sausage connected body S then moves in the state of hanging down from the hook part 31. On the way, the first shearing blade 22 of a cutter unit 5 is put in sliding motion through a knocker 33 cooperating with a cam on a camshaft rotatory-driven synchronously with the drum 3, and the connecting part 30 is cut by a cutting edge 25 intersecting the hook part 31.
