Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a grain-toned fabric freed from curved kinks derived from the shape of natural trees. SOLUTION: This method for producing a grain-toned fabric comprises the following procedure: a natural tree is cut into thin plates 3; a bonding core material 4 is then interposed sandwichedly between two thin plates 3,3 produced above to form a laminate-like 1st intermediate material, which, in turn, is provided with cuts 10... each with such a depth as to nearly reach the core material 4 at micropitches p so as to satisfy the relationship: 0.5 mm<=p<=1.5 mm to make a 2nd intermediate material, which is then cut into narrow strips 1... to form a 3rd intermediate material, subsequently, without altering the order of the grain of the 3rd intermediate material, the above narrow strips 1 are woven with yarns 2 to directly reproduce the natural tree grain.
