PURPOSE: To find a correlation between 60°C moisture resistance and moisture- resistant adhesive power of a plastic film to an evaporated electrode formed by evaporating aluminum in a vacuum so as to realize a plastic film of high moisture resistance and a plastic film capacitor.
CONSTITUTION: Margins 4 and 5 and evaporated electrodes 6 and 7 are formed on both the surfaces of a base film 3 where surface modifying layers 1 and 2 are previously formed, the base film 3 and an uncoated film 8 are rolled overlapping each other, the rolled films are hot-pressed to be flat, outer electrode lead-out layers 9 and 10 are formed to the end faces of the rolled films 3 and 8 by flame spray coating, lead wires 11 and 12 are welded onto the layers 9 and 10, liquid epoxy resin is applied onto the flat roll concerned and cured, and then a sheathing 13 formed of powder epoxy resin is provided to the flat roll for the formation of a capacitor of this design.
