PURPOSE: To enable an expansion valve and a check valve to be mounted by a method wherein the expansion valve and the check valve are integrally arranged, a piping is prevented from being made complex and only one communication passage is installed within the valve bodies.

CONSTITUTION: A sheet 6 provided with a centeral opening 7 and a peripheral opening 7' around the central opening 7 is fixed in a communication passage between a first chamber 4 and a second chamber 5 of a main body 1 of a valve. There are provided a main valve 21 operated by a pressure responding diaphragm 33 and controlling a flow rate by opening or closing the central opening 7 of the sheet 6, and a check valve 20 for opening or closing the peripheral opening 7'. The central part of the sheet is provided with a projection and there is provided a holder having a central hole engaged with the projection. A leg of the holder is abutted against a receiving part of the main body 1 of the valve and the check valve 20 is provided with a hole to be fitted to the central projection of the sheet and slid.
