CONSTITUTION: The portable telephone set making radio communication with a base station connecting to a telephone line is provided with a communication control means 21 making communication control via a base station, a storage means 25 storing control information of each area in which the use of the telephone set is available together with each area code, and a discrimination means 21 for an area code included in a control signal sent from the base station, and the control information of the code area discriminated by the discrimination means 21 is read from the storage means 25 and the communication control means 21 conducts corresponding communication control.
