In the case of a device (1) for measuring the idle air of internal combustion engines with a servomotor (5) for driving a regulating unit (6) for varying a throttle cross section and an auxiliary device (9), which can be activated in the event of a failure of the internal combustion engine, for controlling the regulating unit (6) to a minimum opening of the throttle cross section, serving as an emergency-running cross section, it is proposed that the auxiliary device (9) should comprise two magnets (10, 11) arranged to function in opposition, one of the magnets being essentially deactivated when the internal combustion engine and hence the device are in operation. ……
