Abstract:
Installation for examining and treating the eye with a light source of which the light is focused on the portion of the eye to be examined and comprises preferably a laser, an exploration device which produces an exploration motion of the light source at the back of the eye, a sensor which receives the reflected light and a synchronisation and evaluation unit which forms from the sequences of the sensor output signal an image of the portion of the eye to be examined and reproduces said image on a monitor. The installation comprises a treatment laser of which the light is directed to the portion of the eye to be treated. The installation is characterised by: (a) on the image of the eye at least on the monitor can be superposed an image on which the region or regions to be treated are marked; (b) a control unit directs the laser to the marked region.
