Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a flat fluorescent lamp which does not cause implosion even if excessive input is supplied.
CONSTITUTION: A flat fluorescent lamp is provided with a plurality of linear cathodes 106, grid electrodes 105, 108 arranged successively in the upper side and the lower side of those electrodes 106, fluorescent faces 110, 112, anodes 109, 111, and glass substrates 101, 102. Consequently, the fluorescent faces 110, 112 in both upper and lower sides generate heat, no temperature difference is caused between the glass substrates 101, 102, and thus thermal stress becomes extremely low.
