PURPOSE: To enable the easy removal of an optical connector from an adapter along the axes of guide pins by providing operating levers provided with detaining pawls to be detained to the optical connector inserted into the insertion groove of an arm body at their ends.
CONSTITUTION: The arm body 21 is provided with mounting holes 21e for freely turnably mounting the operating levers 22 on respective side walls 21b. The respective operating levers 22 connect gripping parts 22a and detaining parts 22b to each other and are provided with mounting parts 22d for the arm body 21 in the side parts thereof. The mounting parts 22d of the operating levers 22 inserted into a mounting hole 21e are mounted freely turnably by means of pins 24 to the arm body 21. The detaining piece 25b are L-shaped sheets formed with the detaining pawls 25b projecting to the insertion groove 21a side at the front end of fixing parts 25a. The detaining pawls 25b grip the optical connector by detaining to the slits on both sides of the detaining pieces formed on the slider when the optical connector is inserted. As a result, the connection by butting against the adapter, etc., and the removal along the axes of guide pins are facilitated by the attaching and detaching operations to and from the other adapter and optical connector.
