PURPOSE: To improve the function by housing plural disk cartridges in turn in a magazine part inside the device, selecting one out of the housed disk cartridges and performing a prescribed reproducing operation on this cartridge.

CONSTITUTION: When the first one minidisk M is inserted via an opening part 7 on the front surface, the minidisk is placed on an accessor mechanism 5 by turning operation of an entrance and exit roller 15. Successively, when the second minidisk M is inserted from the opening part 7 of the front surface, after the operation, the accessor mechanism 5 is moved downward by an amt. of one stage of a housing part 81 by operating an elevator mechanism 6, and the second minidisk is housed in a second stage from the upper one inclusive. Afterward, a similar operation is repeatedly executed, the fourth minidisk is so housed in the magazine part 8.
