PURPOSE: To provide a low-cost chip jumper and a manufacturing method thereof in simple constitution in the chip jumper used for jumper connection on a printed board.
CONSTITUTION: A heat resistant resin adhesive tape having an insulating characteristic is wound at constant intervals round a copper or aluminium wire, and a protective film 12 is formed, and after this is formed as a conductor element 11 of a rectangular cross section by rolling work by passing it between a pair of rotating rollers, it is cut in a prescribed length so that the protective film 12 becomes the central part in the lengthwise direction. Thereby, a conductor element 11 whose electrode part 11a is exposed to both ends is obtained. By constituting in this way, an extremely low-cost chip jumper can be obtained in simple constitution.
