Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce the man-hour for production of a thin film magnetic head and to reduce the cost in the process for producing the thin film magnetic head.
CONSTITUTION: The substrate for thin film magnetic head 1 is made as a square substrate having at least four angular chips having about 50mm length of one side. In this way, the number of the thin film transducers per 1 sheet of the substrate for thin film magnetic head is increased considerably, and the production efficiency of the thin film magnetic head is improved, and the provision of the low cost thin film magnetic head is possible.
