Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a thermoplastic resin excellent in impact resistance, moldability, heat distortion resistance and chemical resistance by improving compatibility of AAS resin with polyamide.
CONSTITUTION: A mixture of butyl acrylate and triallyl cyanurate is polymerized in the presence of butadiene rubber or without using it. In the presence of the resultant rubbery polymer, a polymerizable monomer mixture composed of an unsaturated carboxylic acid as the essential component is graft- polymerized with styrene, acrylonitrile, etc., to synthesize a graft copolymer (A). The synthesized draft copolymer (A) is blended with a polyamide (B), thus affording the objective thermoplastic resin composition.
