PURPOSE: To provide a combustion control device capable of performing a rapid avoidance of poor control and poor combustion in the case that a trouble has occurred in a proportional control valve driving circuit.
CONSTITUTION: In a combustion control device in which a driving current flowing in a proportional control valve 3 in a proportional control valve driving circuit 2 having a gas control valve Vc inputted thereto is controlled, there is provided a safety control circuit 7 comprising an abnormal state sensing part 5 for judging it as an abnormal state when a driving current signal of the proportional control valve 3 is not within a predetermined range set in response to a gas control signal Vc and a solenoid valve control part 6 for controlling a closing of a gas supplying control solenoid valve 4 when the abnormal state sensing signal Vc is outputted from an abnormal state sensing part 5. With such an arrangement as above, an abnormal state is sensed in response to whether the driving current signal is within a predetermined range set on the basis of the gas control signal and the gas supplying control solenoid valve is controlled in its closing state when the abnormal state is detected, so that both a poor control and a poor combustion in the case that a certain trouble occurs at the proportional control valve driving circuit can be avoided smoothly or rapidly.
