PURPOSE: To provide a convenient communication terminal equipment by designating a received character string displayed on a screen by a character designating means, and transmitting the character string.

CONSTITUTION: A coordinate value designated by a mouse 11 and the on/off of a button 12 are transmitted to a display control part 9 and a main control part 3 by a mouse control part 13. The display control part 9 displays an arrow- shaped mouse cursor at a position shown by the given coordinate value, and inversion-displays a range where the mouse cursor is moved while the button 12 is turned on. When the button 12 is changed from on to off, the main control part 3 acquires the character string in the range where the mouse cursor is moved while the button 12 is turned on, that is, the range inversion-displayed on a screen through a buffer input and output control part 8 from a display character buffer 7, transmits it to a transmission buffer 4, and temporarily stores it. Thus, the character string designated by the mouse 11 and stored in the transmission buffer 4 is transmitted to a center by a transmission and reception control part 5.
