Abstract:
Method for the disposal of an industrial residue containing sodium sulphate, in which the sodium sulphate of the residue 7 is treated with a calcium salt 12 to precipitate calcium sulphate 13 which is passed into a rock salt bed 15 from which an aqueous solution of sodium chloride 16 is extracted.
The method is applied to residues from the desulphurisation of fumes by means of sodium bicarbonate.
