Abstract:
The bulk milk storage consists of a vat (1) equipped with a cooling system (2-6) and a rotary stirrer (10). The stirrer is activated while milk newly placed in the vessel is cooling, and is stopped when the set temperature for storage of the milk is reached. The speed of the stirrer is controlled so it rotates at a slower speed while the average temperature of the milk in the vat is above a certain level, and more quickly when the temperature is below that level.
