Abstract:
The present invention relates to a sequential decoder applicable to broadband mobile communications and a receiver equipped with the sequential decoder, and is configured so that, as to a path including signal points having small tap coefficient values in an equalizer with a transversal filter or a path which is within a constraint length and is old in time, likelihood values are computed by referring to the histories, thereby the computational efforts being reduced.
