Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a spraying material composition excellent bond strength, for repairing a furnace for ceramics.

CONSTITUTION: A spraying material composition for repairing a furnace for ceramics comprises 30-97wt.% of magnesia, 2-50wt.% of alumina, 1-20wt.% of a binder, 0.5-7wt.% in outer percentage of aluminum sulfate and a calcium salt. Formation of spinel MgOWAl2O3 is made abrupt by reaction between aluminum sulfate and magnesia to prevent warpage of the spraying material on the surface of a material to be repaired and to improve bond strength.
