PURPOSE: To decide the selection of a program and the constitution of a system by collecting a present installation situation in an installation setting table and retrieving the table.

CONSTITUTION: A personal computer system 1 is provided with a floppy disk drive 2 setting a floopy disk storing a communication program, a display 3 and an input device 4 such as a keyboard and a mouse. The personal computer system 1 is connected to the other system with a telephone line 6 by MODEM 5. A host computer 7 is provided with a hard disk 8 storing the installation setting table and it is connected with the telephone line through MODEM 9.
