Abstract:
PURPOSE: To perform continuous and stable charge of scraps in quantitative quantities to an electric furnace and to prevent closing of the opening part of a hopper owing to entanglement of scraps.
CONSTITUTION: Only one side wall of a hopper 1, formed in a funnel shape, of a continuous charging device for scraps for an electric furnace forms a wall 1a having steep inclination, and a vibration feeder 2 having an exciter is disposed to the lower part of a hopper 1. A flapper 8 is oscillatorily arranged between the lower opening of a hopper 1 and the vibration feeder 2.
