This IC card is provided with a terminal substrate 12 for forming plural contact terminals C1 to C8 to transfer data in contact with an external device on an insulated substrate 12b, a communication mode selecting means 12a for switching a contact communication mode and a non- contact communication mode with an input signal to the communication mode selecting terminal C1 in the terminals C1 to C8, and a non-contact communication antenna 13 which is connected to a side opposite to the contact terminals C2 to C4 and C6 to C8 except for the terminal C1 being a surface on a side opposite to the terminals C1 to C8 of the substrate 12 and transfers data without contact.
