This IC card device 30 has an IC card 10 and an IC card holder 20. Even though the card 10 has both a contact type module and a non-contact type module, the non-contact type module does not hold an antenna but is provided with a terminal to be connected to an antenna on the card surface as a non-contact type terminal 17. An antenna coil 25 is provided in the cover part 24 of the holder 20, and when the card 10 is housed in the holder 20, the terminal 17 of the card is brought into contact with an electrode 26 of the holder 20 to connect the coil 25 to the non-contact type module of the card 10 so that it can function as a non-contact type IC card.
