PURPOSE: To prevent the missetting of an IC card by executing a regulation so as to insert the IC card only in a condition in which the emboss of the IC card can be accepted in the groove part of a card setting part.

CONSTITUTION: In the case an emboss 6 of an IC card 3 and a guide groove 5 of a card setting part 2 are in normal relational positions when the IC card 3 is loaded to a cover 1 and the cover 1 is closed, the emboss 6 is accepted in the guide groove 5. For such a reason, the cover 1 is completely closed, a contact part 7 of the IC card 3 is electrically made into contact with an IC contact 4 of the card setting part 2, data are read. When the emboss 6 of the IC card 3 and the guide groove 5 of the card setting part 2 are not matched, the IC card 3 cannot be loaded. Thus, the misinsertion of the IC card can be prevented.
