Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent breakage of a contact due to insertion of a deformed IC card.
SOLUTION: This IC card reader has a card running path 1 permitting running of an IC card 3 having a contact input/output terminal and a contact 2 coming into contact with a contact type input/output terminal of the IC card 3. A regulating groove 4 where a deformed part projected from a card flat surface of the IC card 3 is hooked and locked is provided on this side in the card advancing direction A from the contact 2 in the card running path 1.
