Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce the transaction processing load at the side of a terminal device in a transaction mode by storing the necessary various types of data to an IC card before a transaction is started. CONSTITUTION:A customer can feed the transaction data, i.e., the type of the transaction, a password number and a transaction amount to his/her IC card at any time and in any place before visiting his/her own bank. Then the customer turns on a power switch 11 of the IC card and then operates a keyboard 12 to feed the desired transaction data. The data on the transaction are read by a ROM3 and a RAM4 out of the IC card of the customer, and the transaction processing is carried out. When the transaction is over, the transaction contents stored in the RAM4 are erased. Then the IC card is returned to the customer according to a program.
