Title:
IC CARD READER/WRITER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS62160598
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a thin reader/write by arranging an electromagnetic solenoid for turn-driving an arm having a contact pin coming in contact with the electrode part of an IC card so that its longitudinal direction is put in parallel with its base.

CONSTITUTION: A self-holding type electromagnetic solenoid 3 is arranged and fixed at the inside of a side wall part 6b on one side in a state that the solenoid is brought down. The self-holding type electromagnetic solenoid 3 builds in a permanent magnet other than an exciting coil. A cut groove 18 extending in a shaft direction is formed at the tip part of a plunger 16 in the self-holding type electromagnetic solenoid 3. At the upper end of both side walls 6a and 6b of a base 6, a bridge is erected, and a driving pin 5 is inserted in both drooping parts 4a and 4a formed at an intermediate part. By inserting an IC card 1 between a bottom part 6a and a contacting part 12c, the horizontal part 12a and the drooping part 12b of a contact pin 12 are raised. And when the tip of the IC card 1 is abutted with a stopper 6, the contacting part 12c of the contact pin 12 is connected elastically to the electrode part 11 of the IC card 1, then a bit of information being transferred.
