Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ice maker capable of easily sterilizing a region for storing melted water, of an ice storage chamber, even during operation.SOLUTION: In an ice maker, ice pieces supplied from an ice making portion 10 are stored in an ice storage chamber 21, and the ice pieces are discharged by a prescribed amount as needed. The ice maker includes: a drainboard 30 for partitioning a stirring region 21a to store the ice pieces by allowing melted water caused by melting of a part of the ice pieces to pass through a hole portion 32 formed through itself, and a melted water storage region 21b to temporarily store the melted water; and an irradiating member 40 disposed in a state of facing the melted water storage region 21b, and applying ultraviolet ray to the melted water storage region 21b.
