To always purify water in a storage tank and prevent the water in the tank from being contaminated with an elapse of time by guiding the water extracted from the storage tank into a purifying means, filtering off and adsorbing rust and impurities contained in the water by the purifying means and returning the water to the storage tank by a pressure conveyor means and a feeding-back means.
An ice storage apparatus is provided with an ice making device 2 equipped with a water spraying means 8 for feeding water 6 in a storage tank 1 to a low temperature heat transfer face 3 and a crushing device 10 for allowing a plate-shaped ice formed on the heat transfer face 3 to fall to be crushed is installed in a lower part thereof. The water 6 in the storage tank 1 is always extracted from a water outlet 11 to filter and adsorb rust and impurities contained in the water by active carbon 17 in a purifying device 13 before being returned to the storage tank 1 through a pump 23 and a pipe 27 so that the water 6 is prevented from being contaminated in an elapse of time. The purifying tank 13 is provided with a drain outlet 26 so as to discharge out of a system the water 6, which is comparatively more contaminated, separated and stored in chamber 19, 20 in the purifying device 13.
