Title:
ICE-WATER COOLING MACHINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3831484
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ice-water cooling machine which realizes the automation of preliminary cooling operation, etc., and the reduction of energy consumption, etc.
SOLUTION: When the present time reaches the preliminary cooling start time, an ECU 21 actuates an ice making machine 5 and a water feed pump 13, and simultaneously actuates a count-down timer housed therein. The ice making machine 5 thus actuated freezes cooling water supplied by the water feed pump 13 and continuously drops it into a cooling water tank 1 in the form of flake-like ice pieces 11. In this instance, in the case where a cooling water temperature in the cooling water tank 1 is high, the ice pieces 11 are melted relatively rapidly, whereby the cooling water temperature is gradually lowered. When a predetermined period of time elapses after the actuation of the ice making machine 5 and the water feed pump 13 and if a value of the count-down timer becomes zero, the ECU 21 starts to operate an agitating pump 7 at a low speed. By this method, cooling water 3 is begun to be agitated at a relatively weak water current in the cooling water tank 1, whereby a cooling water temperature is made uniform, and the ice pieces 11 are separated from one another and dispersed.
