PURPOSE: To identify all of wiring boards automatically without narrowing a part package area, not depending on human eyes, by providing a common identification terminal and an identification terminal on a printed wiring board to accomplish conduction between a conducting terminal and a common terminal of a printed wiring board identifier to be connected to these terminals.
CONSTITUTION: A conducting terminal 1 and a common terminal 2 of a printed wiring board identifier 11 are pressed on an identification terminal 9 and a common identification terminal 8 of a printed wiring board 7. With the pressing thereof, an identification circuit section 6 is turned ON corresponding to the identification terminal 9 connected to the identification terminal 8 through a printed wiring 10 and a discrimination display circuit section 12 detects the state of turning ON via an identification circuit section output lead 13 and displays an output. As the conducting terminal 1 is pressed on an identification terminal 9a not connected to the identification terminal 8, the output of an identification circuit section 6a is turned OFF, with no display on a display circuit section 2 thereby enabling automatic identification of the printed wiring board 7 with a display on the display circuit section 12.
