Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prohibit idle purge at the time of idle setting, accordingly to prevent idle adjustment from being disturbed, to carry out idle purge at the time when a cooling fan is actuated at the time of idle setting and accordingly to prevent odor of fuel following idle adjustment.
CONSTITUTION: To an air inlet passage 10 of an engine 1, an upper part of a fuel tank 22 is connected through a purge passage 23. In the purge passage 23, a canister 24 and a purge valve 25 are interposed. In the meantime, the purge valve 25 is controlled by a control unit U in accordance with each of outputs from each of sensors 30-32 to detect a driving state of the engine 1 and an idle switch 33. In this case, at the time of idle setting following inspection and others, idle purge is prohibited, and accordingly idle adjustment is prevented from being disturbed. Moreover, at the time when a cooling fan is actuated at the time of idle setting, an idle valve is opened and idle purge is carried out.
