Title:
IDLING CONTROL METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3378640
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent the occurrence of a delay of fuel injection during the fluctuation of a load by simultaneously controlling the opening of an idle control valve and a fuel injection amount.
CONSTITUTION: Sensors 12 and 13 are provided to detect the number of revolutions of an engine and the pressure of an intake air pipe, respectively, situated downstream from a throttle valve. During idling, a target intake air amount responding to the number of revolutions of engine is set and a fuel injection amount is computed based on a target intake air amount. An injection signal is outputted to an injector 8 and a target pressure in a position situated downstream from a throttle valve after a lapse of a given time is set according to a target intake air amount. From a target pressure, a pressure in an intake air pipe, and a cylinder intake air amount, an amount of air passing an idle control valve after a lapse of a given time is computed. From a function of the amount of air passing an idle control valve and a pressure in an intake air pipe, the opening of the idle control valve is determined and a signal for the opening is outputted to an idle control valve 10 to effect feedforward control.
