Title:
IDLING SPEED CONTROLLER FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3175535
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make stable speed control achievable at the time of idling even in the case where a load fluctuation range is large enough by installing an exhaust gas control means, controlling an exhaust gas recirculation value to be recirculated, and controlling the idling speed in regulating this exhaust gas recirculation value.
CONSTITUTION: An electronic control unit 70 determines those of fuel injection quantity, ignition timing and exhaust gas recirculation value or the like on the basis of each input signal out of various sensors, controlling a fuel injection valve 4, an ignition coil 19, an EGR valve 45 and the like. In this case, either of an exhaust gas flow control means inclusive of this EGR valve 45, a target air-fuel ratio setting means setting a target air-fuel ratio, or an intake quantity control means inclusive of an idling speed control valve(ISCV) 24 to be installed in a bypass passage 26 bypassing a throttle valve 28 is selected according to an engine load state, thereby controlling an idling speed. When speed control is in a range being controllable by the target air-fuel ratio setting means alone, however, such a target air-fuel ratio setting means as being less in a time lag is preferentially selected.
