Abstract:

PURPOSE: A strong igniting agent for solid fuel such as charcoal, coal, etc., by processing strontium nitrate, etc., and carbonized powder with a binder into a hollow cylindrical material and impregnating a mixed solution of diethylene glycol monoethyl ether, etc., into the hollow cylindrical material.

CONSTITUTION: (A) A hollow cylindrical molded article obtained by processing (i) 30W50wt% strontium nitrate and/or barium nitrate and (ii) the rest of carbonized powder with a proper amount of a binder is impregnated with (B) a mixed solution of diethylene glycol monoethyl ether and methyl cellulose and β- cyclodextrin to give the aimed igniting agent.

EFFECT: A solid fuel is readily ignited, burnt while producing large flame at the initial stage and the effect can be maintained for a long time.
